Louise brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and practice to Science & Wellbeing. She is the Founder of Yoga for Wellbeing. Having practiced yoga from a young age, (her mum was an aspiring yogi in the 1970s!), she created her own personal practice using yoga to manage stress levels, resolve challenging soft tissue injuries and to maintain a lifestyle of wellness. Through Yoga for Wellbeing, her focus became rehabilitation, nervous system regulation, stress management and wellness practices. Currently, she shares this knowledge and expertise, supporting clients in sustainable care pathways at Sydney Pelvic Clinic, True PT, and in private practice.

She is qualified in Human Movement and Health. She has a Masters of Teaching, and a specialised focus in Social Welfare. She has a depth of experience from her long and diverse career in physical movement, wellbeing and human development. She has been a Personal Trainer, Senior High School Teacher, Head Teacher Welfare, with more than thirty years of experience in teaching, coaching, and instruction.

She credits yoga for her ‘light bulb’ moment that put her on the path following her passion for improving wellbeing and self care with the wider community. She completed her Teen Yoga Teacher training with Teen Yoga International, and completed her Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at Sukha Mukha Yoga. Her own personal development and studies have continued with Donna Farhi, Rod Stryker (Parayoga), Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Myofascial Release and CranioSacral Therapy.

Her passion is helping people to manage their energy, find joy and balance in their daily life. Her strength is in the development of yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices that nurture the body, mind and soul.

Using her combined knowledge of wellbeing, human development, and the body - how it moves and works, her programs resonate with clients and patrons alike. Her classes never fail to restore and rejuvenate, in the deepest possible way. She is an authentic and empathic teacher. Applying her expertise to this new business, Science and Wellbeing, she is excited to be the Co-Founder of this collaborative enterprise that is focused on whole-person-wellbeing, creating a dynamic new lens for personal and professional development.

“My life seems to have come full circle back to Yoga, because its that’s good, it’s that powerful, this ancient Indian practice, designed to heal and bring peace of mind. Some say that Yoga is a science. I call it the Science of Wellbeing.

“We will be offering our signature "Lighthouse" program amongst a host of flexible and tailored wellbeing teachings and immersions. Experiences that are purpose built to develop nurturing and positive energy, affecting environments, where businesses and staff flourish together.”

"I am excited to take the key concepts of yoga, mindfulness and meditation, the science based research and embed them into a wellbeing framework that serves to enhance psychological, neurological and physical wellness."

“People are intrinsically capable and confident when they have knowledge of wellbeing principles and can create for themselves the optimal conditions for self-care.”

Science and Wellbeing has been created with purpose. I am motivated to share with people and organisations the tools for learning, personal agency and high performance.

“Our focus on science, and the evidence-based practices for wellbeing, is something we can share with everyone, giving people access to information and ideas that can change the way they relate to themselves, and others, allowing them to see the potential and power in their own lives.”
