The ultimate source of resilience is self-understanding

Yoga for Wellbeing

The word yoga means to "join together, unite or yoke." With Science of Wellbeing, we create experiences that help you feel whole and connected, focusing on your whole-self wellbeing. Through yoga and mindfulness practices, you learn to unpack your stress, your resistance and strains. This is the process of awareness and insight, your personal portal to change, understanding what will help bring you into balance and ease.

“Our goal in life is not to become perfect, it is to become whole” Bernie Clark

"Busy" seems to be the new badge of honour in our fast paced, results driven society. This state of perpetual stimulation, where your foot is on the accelerator, unable or unwilling to put the brakes on, locks you in to a stress induced flight-fight mode and overworks your nervous system. This mode doesn’t allow you the metal, emotional or physical rest that you need to feel recharged and ready. This makes for a tired body, an over-anxious mind, a distracted brain. Over time, this can impact your performance, change how you relate to others, and lead to major health concerns. One of the most important benefits yoga and mindfulness practices offer, is to help you reset and repair your frazzled nervous system.

“The body doesn’t lie. Any patterns of dis-ease or illness have a root cause” Bessel Van der Kolk

Yoga for wellbeing embraces a gentler practice with mindfulness and intentional movement to help build a strong body and a healthy mind. Creating a sense of wellbeing is what yoga and mindfulness practices are all about. They will enhance your wellness goals, and this means it’s never too late to start.

The mission is to help you experience a state of contentment - to create a space of physical, emotional and mental release. Rested and restored, you are able to step back into life feeling capable and energised, and trusting yourself. With this new knowing you are able to move with flexibility, in greater alignment with the truth of your intentions and what matters to you, facing each present moment with resilience and a personal strength.

“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the now the primary focus of your life.” Eckhart Tolle

Yoga Pathways

Yin

Yin yoga is a slow and meditative practice where we can affect the deeper yin tissues and organs of the body. Using long held floor poses, this practice promotes healing of the fascia, connective tissues, ligaments, tendons and joint capsules. Being deeply attentive helps the body to discharge excess tension, increases a sense of calm and in turn, diminishes stress levels, nourishing the “Prana” or “Chi” (life force).

Move to Meditate

A mindful flowing vinyasa class, combining breath, movement and intention, that helps shift you into an integrated state feeling fully present, ready for a dedicated 20 minute guided meditation. No previous experience is needed for this practice as we will explore many techniques to settle the chatter in the mind.

Mindfulness

Mindful movement practice suited to your staff's needs; flowing vinyasa class, combining breath, movement and intention, traditional Hatha poses (can be done seated) and Yin style- long held floor poses that work to help nourish and repair deep tissues and joints. Mindfulness and meditation practices can be included in the movement session or can be done as a stand alone practice.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is an embodied meditation that helps you to de-stress using a series of long held supported floor postures. Cultivating conscious relaxation, this practice provides an opportunity for the nervous system to actively relax at a deep level and allows the body to restore from the inside out. It is the perfect pathway to restore and replenish your life force, “Prana”. This restorative yoga practice is suitable for people of all levels and ages.
